Jamaica Culinary Tours is the creation of two Jamaican sisters who love to travel and explore other countries and cultures through their cuisine. They took food tours all over the world — and then realised they had never done one right there in their own home country. They couldn't find a tour that offered the zestful flavour and creativity of Jamaican food, savoured alongside the captivating energy and diversity of Jamaican culture, so they decided to create it themselves.
Pulling together their love for history, culture and food, Anne and Janet built culinary experiences dedicated to sharing the story of the Jamaican people through its diverse flavours and traditions. The proof was in the eating: their original Falmouth Food Tour earned recognition as the Most Authentic Jamaican Attraction in 2017 and consistently attracted five-star reviews on TripAdvisor — with guests from around the world describing it as the highlight of their Jamaica visit.
Now, building on that award-winning foundation, the sisters are taking Jamaica Culinary Tours in an exciting new direction — moving beyond Falmouth to bring the same spirit of authentic discovery to new communities and regions across the island.
Anne and Janet grew up in a multicultural household where entertaining visitors from other countries was simply part of life. They grew to love showing off their beautiful island and its culture, and their tours reflect that — small, relaxed and intimate, designed to feel less like a tourist excursion and more like being taken around by a knowledgeable local friend.
The sisters deliberately partner with small operators and family-run businesses, because they believe that the best way to experience Jamaica is through the people who live it every day. Jamaicans have a tradition of inviting you to sample their cooking — to taste their hand — and that is exactly what you will do as you meet the vendors, producers and community members who bring each tour to life!

Jamaica Culinary Tours is the creation of Anne and Janet - two Jamaican sisters who have pulled together their love for history, culture and food to build culinary experiences dedicated to sharing the story of the Jamaican people. Their food tours capture the energy, excitement and authenticity of Jamaica!
Their pioneer Falmouth Food Tour earned recognition as the Most Authentic Jamaican Attraction in 2017. Today the Sisters introduce their guests to the culinary hidden gems in the Parish of St. Ann. Their intentional partnership with small operators and local community enterprises affords their guests unique and authentic experiences they will find nowhere else!

JANET CRICK — Co-Founder & Experience Curator
Janet spent more than three decades representing Jamaica on the world stage — as a diplomat, foreign policy advisor and as a cross-cultural specialist who has lived and worked across five countries, and has visited more than forty countries in her travels. That unique experience has given her something invaluable: an intimate understanding of what makes a culture genuinely distinctive, and what international visitors are really looking for when they travel with curiosity and intention.
A certified storyteller fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, Janet returned home to Jamaica determined to channel that global perspective into something deeply local. She co-founded Jamaica Culinary Tours in 2013, creating Jamaica's first food tour concept — one built on the belief that a meal shared in the right place, with the right story, is one of the most powerful ways to truly know a People.
For Janet, food is never just food. It is the most honest entry point into who Jamaicans are, where they have come from, and what they are building.
DR. ANNE CRICK — Co-Founder & Business Strategist
Dr. Anne Crick is one of the Caribbean's most respected voices on tourism, hospitality, and the culture of service. Holding a PhD in Organisation Management from Rutgers University, she spent over three decades as a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, researching what authentic guest experience looks like in the Caribbean — and what it takes to deliver it with integrity.
Her most recent book, Customer Experience Management in the Caribbean, published by CABI in 2024, reflects a career spent asking hard questions about hospitality, culture, and the stories we tell through food and service. Her research has been cited by scholars internationally, and she has presented at conferences across four continents. She also brings hands-on industry experience — having worked in food and beverage management at some of Jamaica's leading hotels before her academic career — and continues to serve on the boards of two of the island's most respected institutions.
Anne is also a published novelist. The same commitment to authentic Caribbean storytelling that runs through her fiction runs through everything Jamaica Culinary Tours creates.

Just one year after receiving an award for their Falmouth Tour, Jamaica Culinary Tours gained international recognition for delivering some of the Caribbean's most authentic food tourism experiences. In 2018, the company received the World Food Travel Association's "Most Authentic Food or Beverage Tour Operator Experience" award in London, recognizing its commitment to showcasing Jamaica's rich culinary heritage through immersive, high-quality experiences.
This international honour followed the 2017 Jamaica Hospitality Awards, at which the company's original Falmouth Food Tour was named "Most Authentic Jamaican Attraction."
